Cynthia Jacqueline Hanchey, 89, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her daughter's residence in Ellerslie, GA.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Torry Hanchey officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Hanchey was born March 31, 1929 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Cammie Clenton Newton and Annie Lee Motes Newton. She was a Clerk for Money Back. Ms. Hanchey had a simple life; she enjoyed her family and was very funny.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Michael Hanchey and Debra Humber and sister, Annie Laura Strickland.
Survivors include her 3 children, Cynthia Rayburn (Dan) of Ellerslie, GA, Gloria Manypenny (Frank) of Chester, WV and Terry Hanchey of Columbus, GA; numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Danny Strickland.
