Julia Talbot Obituary
Julia Ann Talbot, 67, of Columbus, GA died Monday, October 26, 2015 at Columbus Hospice at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Thomas and Reverend Bud Rupel officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Julia was born June 16, 1948 in Slocumb, Alabama. She is the daughter of Nelma Sellers Watson of Columbus, GA and the late Thollie Watson. Julia blossomed into a strong, vibrant woman filled with determination and love. She was ambitious and found her place in the business world as a talented Realtor and Contractor. Julia holds the prestigious honor of being the first female home builder in Phenix City.
She was a hard worker and took pride in her work. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who had the most wonderful qualities. Julia was loyal, faithful, understanding, and was full of life.
She loved her mom, siblings, and extended family deeply. With all she accomplished, her greatest honor was raising her strong, independent children and doting on her precious grandchildren.
Survivors other than her mother include her husband, Jim Talbot of Phenix City, AL, her children, Lori Horsch (Richard) of Seminole, FL, Michelle Bargeron (William) of Pine Mountain, GA, Lynn Harvey of Phenix City, AL, Jason Talbot and Tyler Talbot both of Seminole, FL, sister, Janice Ward (Roy) of Fortson, GA, three brothers, Pete Watson (Debbie) of Phenix City, AL, Johnny Watson (Susan) of Ft. Mitchell, AL and Mac Watson (Sydney) of Apalachicola, FL, seven grandchildren, Christy, Bailey, Ashton, Brooke, Ava, Brody and Nick, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Columbus Hospice for their care and support.
