Ronald Harden Obituary
Mr. Ronald P. Harden, 78, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. John Homer officiating. A private interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Harden was born September 2, 1936 in Phenix City, AL., son of the late Homer C. Harden and Mary Beatrice Harden. Mr. Harden served with the GA National Guard from 1952-1954 and the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1957 and was retired from State Farm Insurance.
Mr. Harden loved his golf with the Dixie Seniors group and his Thursday foursome. He cherished their friendship and met many wonderful golfers. Ronnie loved people and enjoyed reminiscing about old times. God blessed him with many good traits and a good memory. He was a very honest and an all around fine person.
Other than his parents, Mr. Harden was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene R. Harden.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty of 55 years; brother, Homer Keith Harden (Mary Jo) of Phenix City, AL; sister, Carol Olmstead (David) of Cameron, MO. and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to recognize the Midtown Medical Center 7th oncology floor for all their trained nurses that were efficient and compassionate during Ronnie's stay.
