Sarah Baugh Richardson 90, of Columbus died Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Beallwood Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. A private interment will be held in Geneva City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga.
Mrs. Richardson was born September 03, 1927 in Columbus, Ga. daughter of the late James Edward and Elsie Gittens Baugh. She was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church where for many years she taught Sunday School, studied and also taught Precept Bible Study classes and was the church hostess and a devoted nursery worker. Mrs. Sarah loved studying the Bible and had a propensity for witnessing about her Lord to anyone she came in contact with. She loved and respected her Pastors at Beallwood Baptist Church.
Mrs. Richardson was a Telephone Operator at Southern Bell and assisted her husband, Leonard at Richardson Home and Auto.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband James Leonard Richardson, sisters, Mary Elizabeth Baugh and Elsie Moree Baugh and sister-in-law, Frances Lamb Richardson.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally Toddy (Dale) of Hamilton, GA., Amy Benson (Mike) of Fortson, Ga., son, Jimmy Richardson of Haines City, Fl., sister in law, Erin Garland of Columbus, Ga., grandchildren, Laura Hutson (Paul) of Auburndale, FL., Nathan Richardson (Missi) of Savannah, GA., Ellen Davis (Brian) of Haines City, FL., Genny Lou Toddy of Nashville, TN., Andrew Benson of Columbus, GA., great grandchildren Matthew Hutson, Jackson Hutson, Grey Richardson, Chandler Richardson, Gage Richardson, Charleigh Richardson, Montgomery Davis, and Elizabeth Faith Benson.
