Sherryl Williams Obituary

Sherryl N. Williams, 66, of Ellerslie, GA passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Emory University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Bethesda Baptist Church, 3830 GA-85, Ellerslie, Ga 31807 with Rev. David Helms officiating. The family will have a private burial following the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bethesda, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Ga 31907.

Mrs. Williams was born September 30, 1949 in Langdale, AL daughter of Imogene Nichols of Valley, AL and the late Robert Nichols, Jr. She worked as the Financial Secretary for Bethesda Baptist Church where she also was a member, played the piano, sang in the choir, and was in the TruthSeekers Sunday School Class.

Other than her mother, she is survived by her husband of 48 ½ years, Riser "Billy" Williams of Ellerslie, Ga, son, Brian Williams (Kayse) of Ellerslie, Ga, daughter, Kelli Wommack (Dr. Chris) of Midland, Ga, six grandchildren, Nathan, Rebekah, Wesley, Ryan, Phillip, and Andrew; sister, Resha Wingo (Terry) of Madison, Al and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Sherryl lived well and loved well. She had such an incredible legacy of impacting the world for Jesus and for loving others.

Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Bethesda Baptist Church's Debt Retirement Fund or Bethesda's Upward Sports program.

McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Ga 31907 will be handling the arrangements.
