Uldean Pitts Obituary
Uldean Givens Pitts, 87, of Newnan, GA, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery on Tuesday, January 17 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday between 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Pitts was born April 30, 1929 in Graceville, FL, daughter of the late Lessie W. Givens and Beulah Kirkland Givens. She moved to Columbus, GA as a young girl and lived in Bibb City . Mrs. Pitts was a 1948 graduate of Baker High School and was Vice President of First National Bank of Atlanta. After retiring, she moved to Newnan, GA where she was a member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie F. Pitts and brothers, William "Bill" Givens and Leo W. Givens.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Lee (Jerry) of Newnan, GA; her son, Charlie "Chuck" F. Pitts, Jr. of Gainsville, GA; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Noelle Wheat (Mark) and Brandy Lee Perry all of Newnan, GA; 2 great-grandchildren, Emily Noelle Wheat and Katelyn Ann Wheat both of Newnan, GA; and sister-in-law, Faye Ellen Pitts of Ashville, N.C. and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
