William Brickner Obituary

MSG (Ret.) William "Hog daddy" James Brickner, Sr., 74, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Park officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Bill was born March 29, 1942 in Hydetown, PA son of the late William Henry Brickner and Clara Isabelle Myers Brickner. He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant having served in the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Bill was a member of the VFW 665. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman where he worked with the wounded warriors to help set up hunting trips on Ft. Benning. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill was also a member of Rock Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Chong Yon Brickner of Columbus, GA, son, William Brickner, Jr. of San Diego, CA, grandchildren, Gabriel Marie Brickner and Kilee Elisa Brickner Silva both of Columbus, GA, great grandchild, Genevieve Rose Silva of Columbus, GA, and sister, Patricia Remund of Newport Beach, CA.
