Linda Crow Obituary

Linda Crow, 76, of Cataula, Georgia, passed away March 15, 2024, at home, with her loving husband Charles Crow by her side, after a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s & Multiple Sclerosis.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM,Wednesday, March  20, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Father Ben Dallas officiating. Visitation will be held 6:00–8:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA, 31907.

She was born in Peoria, Illinois to Leroy and Mary Louise (McPhetridge, who died during childbirth) Upham on January 8, 1948. She grew up in Olney, Texas, with her dad & stepmom, Merle Jean, and her two younger brothers, Lynn and Larry.

Linda was a graduate of Baylor University.  In her junior year she met the love of her life, and future husband of 54 years, Col. Charles Crow (Ret.) in College Station, Texas when he asked her to be his blind date to a Texas A&M football game, where he attended school.  Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved reading mystery novels, playing the piano and spending time with her family.  She had a zest for life and experiencing the world; spending many years living abroad in Germany, Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait as well as many states across the U.S.  she had many lasting friendships around the world. 

Linda is survived by her loving husband Charles, children Connie O’Neill (Robbie) of Fortson, Georgia, Kevin Crow (Jordana) of Atlanta, Georgia, Shawn Crow (Cynthia) of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren Garrett & Sydney O’Neill, Maxwell, Kenzie & Emerson Crow, Seth & Cristian (Salinas) & Vivian Crow, and brother Lynn Upham of Tulare, California. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation (www.michaeljfox.org) or Columbus Hospice of Georgia & Alabama (706-569-7992; info@columbushospice.com), an organization that was instrumental in Linda’s final months of care, ensuring that she passed peacefully and with dignity.
