Ronald Martin Obituary

Ronald Mark Martin, known as Mark by his friends and family, passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on November 9, 1965, in Columbus, Georgia, where he also passed away, Mark lived life characterized by his selfless nature, his handy skills, and his unique sense of humor.

Mark was a talented painter, a trade he worked for many years, leaving beautifully painted homes and businesses that can be seen across his hometown. He had a passion for building and metal work and could fix anything.

Mark was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, shooting, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He loved to repurpose things and would routinely come home with a truck load of items he’d picked up to use, sell, or disassemble just to see how something worked. He spent many of his days with his metal detector in parks, random open fields, and near walking trails.

He was his son’s best friend and they did everything together. He loved to eat good food and they routinely visited “Miles To-Go” and “Macon Road Barbecue”. Mark liked the ocean and the beach, especially for using his metal detector, and he loved visiting the mountains of West Virginia.

He is survived by his family: his son, Dustin; his daughters, Lauren and Kristen; his sisters, Gina and Sandra; and his brothers, Gary and Randy.
