Anna Shoaf Obituary

Anna Lee Shoaf, 85, of Midland, GA, died Monday, October 16, 2017 at her residence.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2017 at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 4500 Saint Marys Road Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. David Helms officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Mrs. Shoaf was born March 17, 1932 in Alton, IL, daughter of the late William David Tarrant and Ada N. Kennedy Tarrant. She was the bookkeeper for Dolly Madison and attended Bethesda Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Shoaf and sister, Louise Freeman.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan E. Sparks (Charlie) of Hurst, TX, Lou Ann Wojciechowski (Kenneth) of Midland, GA; son, David O'Neal (Harriett) of Waverly Hall, GA; sisters, Pauline Schoenewis of Betholto, IL, Georgia Everlin of Gulf Port, MS and Norma Epperheimer of Alton, IL, and Betty Hon of Poplar Bluff, MO; brother, William "Bill" David Tarrant, Jr. of East Alton, IL; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Society, www.nationalbreastcancer.org.
