Austin Jay Griswold, 22, of Columbus, GA died Friday, November 16, 2018 in Verbena, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, November 26, 2018 at Wynnbrook Baptist Church, 500 River Knoll Way Columbus, GA, 31904 with Rev. Grant Parker officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Austin, was a 2014 graduate of Northside High School in Columbus, GA. He was a 2017 graduate of Columbus Technical College where he obtained a HVAC Certificate. He was a student at FlightWays in Columbus, GA and was twenty hours into obtaining his private pilot license. He was employed by Integrated Supply Company in Columbus, GA as a Warehouse Manager/Driver and enjoyed his job and co-workers. Austin was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, boating and flying. He was loved by many and always treated everyone with kindness and enjoyed helping others.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Karen Griswold of Columbus, GA, brother, Kyle Griswold, and wife, Heather of Phenix City, AL, sister, Kristin Griswold of Columbus, GA, grandparents, James and Ruth Griswold of Phenix City, AL, Charles "Bobby" and Martha Gayles of Phenix City, AL, a large and loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, his beautiful and loving girlfriend, Elizabeth Cannon of Smiths, AL, a Godchild, Hudson Moore of Fortson, GA, and his dog of fourteen years, Nick.
