Obituary

Cynthia Gibson Funderburk, 60, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Mrs. Funderburk was born February 13, 1957 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Ralph D. Gibson and Alice Needham Grimes Bowen. She worked as a Pardon and Parole Investigator for the State of Georgia for 29 years. She enjoyed being with family and close friends and enjoyed shopping.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Craig Funderburk, son, Trey Funderburk, daughter, Kim Smith (Todd) all of Columbus, GA, siblings, Edward Gibson (Tina) of Columbus, GA, Ronnie Gibson (Dorothy) of Fortson, GA and Ralph Gibson (Barbara) of Texas, grandchildren, Cooper Smith and Cashe Smith both of Columbus, GA and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. #710 Columbus, GA 31901 or to Columbus Hospice House 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 www.columbushospicehouse.com.
