Dovie Lee Francis 92, of Phenix City, Al. died Monday, June 29, 2020 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
A private funeral for family and close friends will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 01, 2020 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Mr. Greg Lawrence officiating. A private interment will be held. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home. Keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, we encourage social distancing during the visitation.
Mrs. Francis was born December 16, 1927 in Ducktown, TN, daughter of the late Jake and Addie Keys Clore. She was a homemaker and member of Crawford Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Francis enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and sitting on her back porch looking at the fish pond and feeding her geese.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Francis, Sr., daughter, Brenda Meadows and her husband Robert, granddaughter, Lauren Sports, great-grandchildren, Maya and Tres Sports all of Phenix City, Al, step-son, Charles Edward "Eddie" Francis, Jr. and his wife Lisa and their 4 children.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions are made to the Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Drive. Tampa, Fl. 33607.
