Faye McCown Obituary
Faye Holland McCown 85 of Columbus died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center.
Cryptside services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Columbus.
Mrs. McCown was born December 21, 1932 in Haleburg, Al. daughter of the late William Cody and Ruby Culpepper Holland. She retired after 20 years as a Director for KinderCare Child Daycare Centers and was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Mary and Martha Sunday School Class. She was a devoted wife, and loved her children.
Other than her parents, Mrs. McCown was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Neely McCown, Jr., sisters, Nell Chambers, Lucille Burnett, Flossie Wood, Madie Ballas and Wilkie Holland, brothers, Gene, Robert and James Holland.
Survivors include Beth Larson (Brian) of Marietta, Ga., Joseph N. McCown, III (Ann-Marie) of Fortson, Ga., Scott Alexander McCown (Margy) of Ball Ground, Ga., Bill Holland of Dallas, Tx. 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
