Joo-Ri Lee, 30, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus.
A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Hallelujah Presbyterian Church 4323 Primrose Road, Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Joo-Ri was born November 29, 1988 in Mokpo, Korea daughter of JaeGwang Lee and Wrensin Park both of Columbus, Ga. She was a graduate of Brookstone High School and the University of Georgia. Joo-Ri was a vivacious, beautiful person with a love for life, her family and her friends. Those who knew her will never forget her contagious laugh-and she never missed an opportunity to laugh. Joo-Ri loved dancing, dessert, and singing. She particularly enjoyed worshipping in her church every Sunday.
While she lived her life filled with faith that she happily shared with everyone, Joo-Ri's faith grew in 2017, when she suffered from her first stroke. After a month in a coma, she not only survived, but made a full recovery back to her bubbly, fun-loving self. Doctors called her a walking miracle. For the past two years, she has testified of her second chance on life, crediting that God kept her on this earth for a reason. Anyone who was fortunate enough to spend time with Joo-Ri would agree. Her smile, her laughter, and her positive spirit were blessings to those around her. While she was known for living life to the fullest, the way in which she cherished her last two years on earth made an unforgettable impact.
Joo-Ri is survived by her father, JaeGwang Lee, her mother, Wrensin Park, her two younger brothers, Joo-Sub and Joo-Yeok, her family in Korea and countless friends.
She was the most joyful person imaginable, but she would want others to know how her joy here on earth paled in comparison to the joy she now has. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
