Josie B. Smallwood, 61, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Andy Rutherford officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smallwood was born November 18, 1955 in Pensacola, FL daughter of Percy Betts of Virginia Beach, VA and Sharon Kilby Winn (Earl) of Midway, GA. She received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Columbus College and worked as an Auditor with the Civil Service. Mrs. Smallwood was a member of Landmark Church of the Nazarene in Phenix City, AL.
Survivors other than her parents include her husband, Michael Smallwood of Columbus, GA, brother, Robert Coleman of Columbus, GA, and a sister, Penny Dickinson (Russ) of Spotsylvania, VA.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Landmark Church of the Nazarene 270 Lee Rd. 456 Phenix City, AL 36867.
