Judith Aughenbaugh-Wallace Obituary

Judith Carol Aughenbaugh-Wallace, 71, of Columbus, GA died peacefully in her home Monday, June 26, 2017 in Columbus, Georgia after a long battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Northside Worship Center 1901 Whittlesey Rd. Columbus, GA 31904. The family will receive friends after the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Mrs. Aughenbaugh-Wallace was born July 31, 1945 in Decatur, Illinois daughter of the late
Eugene Albert Aughenbaugh and Doris Schoth - Chesler. She was a retired Special Education Teacher at Brandon High School in the Hillsborough County Florida School District and also taught English as a Second Language at Columbus State University in Columbus Georgia. Judith was active in Al-Anon and was a member of Northside Worship Center. She loved her children and grandchildren. Ministering to and serving others, and education was very important to her. She also assisted her husband's ministry for 40 years.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, William Jack Wallace of Columbus, GA, Sons,
Joshua Eugene Wallace (Mary-Kathryn "Kate") of Columbus, GA, Dallas Arnold Powell Jr.
(Lori) of San Antonio, TX, William Jack "Jay" Wallace Jr. (Vanessa) and Jeff Wallace all of
Pleasant Grove, AL. One daughter, Rebecca Judith Wallace-Smith (Steve) of Sarasota, FL. One brother, Rodney Banks of Riverview, FL, sister, Paula Nelson of Melbourne AR, 9
grandchildren, Ava Grace Wallace, Amber Sierra Wallace, Joshua Elijah Wallace, Noah William Wallace of Columbus, GA. Aiden Mathew Smith, Adlei Rose Smith of Sarasota, FL. Abigail Adrianna Powell, Christian Andrew Powell and Dallas Arnold Powell III, one great grandchild Olianna Avery Powell, and another daughter-in-love, Penny Erickson Wallace.

Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Feeding the Valley Food Bank via Northside Worship Center.
