Quillian Kelly Obituary
Quillian "Lamar" Kelly, 86, of Fortson, GA, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Mr. Alvin Peoples officiating. A Private Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Kelly was born October 31, 1931 in Columbus, GA, son of the late James Luther Kelly and Catherine Gresham Watson. He was an avid softball player having been a fan all of his life and active in the Senior Softball League of Columbus. In addition to playing softball, Mr. Kelly was on a bowling team and rode and enjoyed horses all of his life. He retired from Harvey Lumber Company after 22 years.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James W. Wright and Forrest R. Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Kelly; children, Teri Boyd (James) and Becky Green (Billy); grandchildren, Jimmy Green (Kristi), Amanda Goolsby (Kelly), Amy Baker; great-grandchildren, Rylee Green, Jaden Green, Kason Goolsby, Kade Goolsby, Keaton Goolsby, Korbin Goolsby, Lane Baker and Taylor Baker all of Fortson, GA and several nieces and nephews.
