Rita Maultsby Obituary
Rita Maultsby, 81, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Covenant Woods according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Maultsby was born April 18, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA daughter of the late Thomas Sims, Sr. and Anna Knocke Sims. She was a homemaker and a member of Evangel Temple in Columbus and a member of Worship Center in Grand Bay, AL. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading and cooking.
She was very strong in her faith and now she is walking the streets of gold in Heaven with her Savior.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Maultsby.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Maultsby (Cathy) of Houston, TX and Steve Maultsby (Lisa) of Vancleave, MS, daughter, Kimberly Nichols (Michael) of Columbus, GA, 4 grandchildren, Hannah and Sophie Nichols and Hayley and Ky Maultsby, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Thomas Sims, Jr., and nephew, Thomas Sims, III.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital www.stjude.org.
