Thomas Allen Hindman

Thomas Allen Hindman, 40, of Midland, GA died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his home after an extended illness.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2017 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM; Greater Life Baptist Church, 305 Old Grey Rock Road, Midland, GA. The Reverend Jonathan McNeese will officiate.
Mr. Hindman was born August 19, 1976 in Greenville, SC, son of the late Frank Allen Hindman and Mary Jo Hindman Morrison. He was a self- employed contractor. Mr. Hindman was an avid outdoorsman and holds state records for trophy deer. He enjoyed dirt track racing and NASCAR racing in his spare time and was a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan. In addition, Mr. Hindman was an amateur historian with a keen interest in Native American archeology. He was Baptist by faith and attended Greater Life Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Kaylin and Kelsey Hindman, both of Columbus, GA., mother, Mary Jo Hindman Morrison of Columbus, sisters, Myra McMillan (Barry) of Midland and Mary Denise Brewer Gang (Gerald) of Midland, Tracy Phillips Payne (Brian) of Taylors, SC, and Tony Phillips (Jeannette) of Greer, SC, Karen Robertson of Greer, SC, Shirley Tucker of Greer, SC. A brother at heart, Willie Hester of Columbus, GA, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He shared a very close relationship with his niece, Allison Bailey of Dahlonega, GA and his nephews Brandon Bailey and Daniel Brewer of Midland, GA.
Mr. Hindman will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his willingness to help others, and his love for family and friends.
