Amanda Caves Bryan, 45, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday April 30 at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Andy Blakemore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

 Amanda was born on February 15, 1981, Amanda grew up in Columbus, Georgia, where she was a lifer at Brookstone School and was a member of the graduating class of 1999. She went on to study communications at Auburn University. Following her Bachelors of Art degree, she returned to school to receive her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

Amanda was a devoted wife to her husband Bo and they loved nothing more than their precious son Pepper. He was her most proud accomplishment in life. Pepper loves soccer and it brought her such joy to cheer him on from the sidelines. She was so proud of her home they built and enjoyed being in nature with her family and her dogs and cats, Weezie, Sambo, Fern and Buddy. She had a special love for animals and welcomed many into her life giving them a special home. Amanda also loved the ocean and so many of her happiest times were spent with her family at the beach. Even in her final days, Amanda’s smile continued to light up the room.

Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Albert Caves and her grandmother, Carol Hartley Shine. She is survived by her husband Bobby Culpepper Bryan “Bo", her son Bobby Culpepper Bryan, Jr “Pepper”, her mother Pamela Shine Caves, her siblings Michelle and Al Caves, Whitni and Mulford Waldrop, Blake Caves and Ann Malay, Alexander Caves, Batten Caves and Lillie Mills Caves, and her grandfather Charles Eugene Shine “G-Daddy”. She is also survived by her in laws Susan and Buddy Bryan and their family, Jennie and Chris Bryan, Berkley and Perry Blanchard, Brittney Keeler and Mary Bailey and Ben Bryan. She adored her nieces and nephews Bo, Thomas, Ford, Blakely, Mila, Mya, Hamp, Wick, Cal, Christian, Alexis and Kaitlyn. She was also loved by her aunts and cousins.

Amanda’s family would like to express their profound gratitude to the medical staff at Tampa General Hospital for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided to Amanda and her loved ones over the past year. They were truly remarkable.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Paws Humane Society or Harris County animal shelter.
