Anne Deubler Black, 82, of Columbus, GA passed away on November 21, 2025 after a brief illness.

Graveside services will be held at West Point Cemetery, West Point NY at a later date, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, where Anne's final resting place will be with her husband.

Anne was born in Sayre, PA on July 25, 1943 to the late Walter S. Deubler and Esther Deubler, nee Titus. She was a teacher at Frank R. Loyd Elementary School Fort Benning, Georgia. Anne first earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education,specializing in Learning Disabilities in Children. She then earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development from Columbus College, now Columbus State University.Anne started out teaching 3rd grade, and later taught 2nd grade. She would finish her teaching career in reading recovery which taught students one on one to bring them to grade level reading.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Capt.William R. Black of Dyer, TN.She is survived by her son, William Black of Columbus, GA; sister, Catherine Walton of Cedar Park, TX. Her niece, Debra Deubler (Todd Hoig) and nephew Clint (Hailee) Deubler.
