Armor J. (Ret.) Brown

CWO3 (Ret.) Armor J. Brown, 85, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private family interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born June 11, 1931 in Arpin, WI son of the late Leroy and Jane Koch Brown. He worked as a warrant officer for the U.S. Department of Defense and then served two tours in the Vietnam War, retiring in 1973.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Johns Brown of Columbus, GA, children, Armor David Brown (Janet) of Stafford, VA, Robert Leroy Brown (Karen) of Oak Creek, WI, Mark Allen Brown of Auburn, AL and Sonja Frye of Concho, OK, step-children, Elena Wright of Pelham, AL and Christopher J. Turchiano (Dena) of Meridian, MS, sister, Janet Brown, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the USO P.O. Box 96860 Washington, DC 20077-7677.
