Barbara Jane Evans 73, of Columbus died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
A private funeral service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Miss. Evans was born March 18, 1943 in Columbus, Ga. daughter of the late Edgar Delmore and Mary Louise Bowman Evans. She retired as an Administrator with Martin Army Hospital and was a member of the ABWA.
Other than her parents, Miss Evans was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Victor Evans and great-great nephew Benjamin Robert Smith, Jr.
Survivors include three brothers, David Ronald Evans, Edgar Richard Evans both of Columbus, Ga. and Charles Ricky Evans of Alexandria, Va., nephew, John Evans of Columbus, Ga., niece, Debra Jo Floyd of Myrtle Beach, S.C., great-nephew, Benjamin Robert Smith, Sr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., great-great niece Harley S.L. Smith of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and numerous other family members.
