Barbara Ann Lord, 89 of Columbus, GA passed away on Friday October 30, 2026 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 3, 2026 at 2:00pm in the Chapel at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd.Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Dick Reese officiating. A visitation will begin at 1:00 at the funeral home. A private entombment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum.

Barbara was born August 9, 1937 in Savannah, GA to the late Muller McCauley Freyermuth and Mary Elizabeth Skinner Freyemuth. She was a very loved and dedicated member of the clerical staff for many at the Columbus Health Department where she made many lifelong friends and was a long time member of St. Luke Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, William L. Lord and a brother, Harvey Jones Freyemuth. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lord, son, David Lord (Resa) of Columbus, GA. grandchildren: Meagan Lord Rhames (T.J.) and Samuel Lord of Columbus, great grandchildren: Conner Lewis Rhames and Cooper Rhames and several nieces and nephews.
