Barbara Jean Peacock, 76, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peacock was born April 9, 1938 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Jack and Mable Crowley. Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Jordan High School and had worked for Muscogee Mills, AFLAC, and retired from Norton Steel Mtg. Industry and Flowery Branch Georgia. She was a Catholic by Faith.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Murray P. Peacock of Columbus, GA; granddaughters, Kinsey Sanders and Ansley Sanders both of Harris County, GA; and devoted best friend, Sylvia Braxton of Columbus, GA.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909.
