Betty Virginia Hensley Adkins, 88, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Columbus Hospice House.
An interment will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 24, 2023 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Betty was born September 28, 1934 in Kingston, WV to the late Ernest Hensley and Chloe Stover Hensley.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Harrison Adkins; son, John Adkins, Jr; daughter, Sharon Folds; brothers, Norman Hensley, Bob Hensley, Shirley Hensley; sister, Margaret Britt.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Adkins, Steven Adkins, Brian Adkins; brothers, Ernest Hensley (Hazel) of Sharpsburg, PA, Gary Hensley of Columbus, GA; sister, Brenda Miller of Palm Bay, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
