Betty Fay Hammock, 78, Columbus, GA died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Mark Tipton and Rev. Richard Kelly officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Hammock was born February 12, 1936 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of the late Thomas E. Hammock and Doris Jenkins Hammock. She was the secretary for Ashland Oil.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Philip Hammock.
Survivors include two sisters, Grace Whitley and Pansy Hammock both of Columbus, GA; and brother, John Hammock of Smiths Station, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
