Beverly Bryan Forbes, 78 formerly of Columbus, GA passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 in Bainbridge, GA after a short illness according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A Celebration on Life will be held at a later date.

Beverly was born September 24, 1948 in Blakely, GA to the late Eddie B. Bryan and Voncille Hill Bryan. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1966 where she was very active in the CHS band. After graduating from high school she worked with the old Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company where she met and married the love of her life, Terry Forbes. She graduated from Columbus College (Columbus State University) with a degree as a registered nurse. Beverly worked at the Medical Center (Piedmont Midtown) and Muscogee Co. Health Department for well over twenty years before relocating to Mt. Pleasant, SC where she continued her career in health care. Working in the health care field brought her great satisfaction nursing the hundreds of patients back to good health. She loved to read and has a library in her home dedicated to books. I can’t leave out her love for cats as she would take in a cat off the street and they would become family to her.

Other than her parents see was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Forbes, daughter: Bennett Forbes and Bennett’s baby Noah.

Survivors include her daughter: Emily Mann (Julian) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and brother: Buddy Bryan (Susan) of Columbus, GA granddaughter: Ridley Harper, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves behind her very special friends, Ashley Rider, Chris Canter and Devon Canter.
