Brenda Denise Boyett, affectionately known to her family and friends as BB or Bren, graced this world with her vibrant spirit from March 19, 1975, until the unexpected day she left us on January 5, 2026, while in the warm embrace of her daughter, Cristian, in Birmingham, Alabama. Born in Columbus, Georgia, Brenda's laughter, warmth, and zest for life carved an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to cross her path.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, January 15, 2026 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.

From her earliest days, Brenda was a source of joy and delight, and growing up with her was a wonderful treat for her sisters. Together, they wove a tapestry of memories that echo with laughter and love—a testament to the profound bond they shared. As they reminisce about their adventures, it becomes clear how deeply Brenda's spirit intertwined with their own, a light now dimmed but never extinguished.

An unwavering source of support, Brenda held her family at the center of her heart. She adored her children, Cristian and Stephen Jr., showering them with love and devotion. Few things brought her greater joy than playing with her grandchildren, Brentlee and Shaley, whose laughter filled her home with warmth. Brenda loved nothing more than being there for her family, a steadfast presence who would traverse any distance to show them just how much they meant to her.

Brenda's personality was as radiant as the sun, always ready to make others smile and enjoy life's simple pleasures. She cultivated friendships that transformed into sisterhoods, with close friends Tonya Davis, Lena Pierce, Marlo Jones, Joy Sanders, Brooke Tucker, and Ashley Cooper providing endless joy and upliftment over the years. Their camaraderie became a kaleidoscope of laughter and memories that they will cherish forever.

Though Brenda experienced the profound loss of her mother, Brenda Gail McCarty, and her daughter, Elizabeth Shae Cambron, she lived her life as a testament to resilience and unconditional love. Her legacy continues through her beloved father and stepmother, Jerome and Roxanne Boyett, and her mother's widower, her stepfather, Don McCarty. She leaves behind her cherished siblings: Katrina Rollins (Aaron), Lisa Boyett, Regina Davis (Cory), Neal Washington (Candace), Mandy Washington (Samantha) and Joseph Washington (Stephanie), Randy McCarty and Debbie Jimmerson (Lane) and many loved and adored nieces and nephews, each one touched by Brenda's unwavering love and laughter.

As we prepare to bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we invite her family, friends, and all who were touched by her spirit to gather at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory in Columbus, Georgia. It is here that we will celebrate the cherished moments and profound impact that Brenda Denise Boyett had in our lives—a gentle force, a beacon of light, and an everlasting source of love. She will be sorely missed but will never be forgotten.
