Carey E. Peters Davis, 87, of Columbus, GA died Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Davis was born June 11, 1929 in Slocomb, AL to William Peters and Bertha Andrew Peters. She moved to Columbus in the mid 1940's and retired from the Bibb Mill after 27 years. She was a Baptist by faith.
She met and married L.V. Davis. Together they had 4 sons, and later adopted their granddaughter.
Carey is preceded in death by her parents, her 4 sons, Larry Don Davis, Tommy Dale Davis, Terry L. Davis and Jerry V. Davis, and her 6 siblings.
She is survived by a daughter, Holly Davis Denney (Rachel), many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
