Carolyn Ann Williams was born on February 23,1952 to Betty Belden in Wichita, Kansas. Her family moved to Phenix City, Al where she attended Central High School and her mother remarried Howard Greene who helped raise her. When she left home and got on her own, she was working at Shoe Tee United downtown as a cashier and met a retired soldier from the U.S. Army that was a bus driver that used to take her back and forth to work. His name was Willie Bennett Williams. He and she became married on April 1, 1975 after they had their first son on June 27, 1974, Michael Bennett Williams. Then, they had their second child,a little girl September 17, 1975. Beneica Leigh Baker (Kelvin Baker). The couple owned a bar together in Columbus, Georgia called Will's Tavern until her husband fell ill to cancer and passed on November 13,1981. She then became a cashier for AW Herndon Oil Co. on Veterans Pkwy. working 3-11 and 11-7 to take care of her two children on her own after she sold the bar. She has lived with Diabetes and CKD for many years with her daughter taking care of her through hospital visits, doctors appointments, and rehab stays. After rehab this time in September 2026, she was just too tired to bounce back like before and started to get weaker after she came home from Magnolia Manor East on September 9,2026. We tried rehab at home with Enhabit; but she just could not do it; and was put on Enhabit Hospice. Then, a week later on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 she was taken to The Bethany House in Auburn, Al for palliative care. On Friday, September 25, 2026 she was taken by the hand of Christ with no more pain, suffering, or worries to deal with. She leaves two grandsons by her daughter Keondre' and Joshua Piett. She also leaves behind great grandchildren : Breyahna, Kahlani, Daylin, Desylus (Keondre), and Ka'ree(Joshua)
