Catrina Maria Drake

Mrs. Catrina Maria Drake was born February 1, 1971 in Flint, MI. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert (Elsie) Carter. Catrina graduated high school and enlisted in the military. She relocated to Ft. Benning, GA where she served the majority of her 20+ years. Educationally, Catrina obtained a practical nursing degree (LPN), Real Estate Agent license and Bachelor and Master's in Clinical Mental Health (psychology).
Catrina was very ambitious and full of life. She loved her family and participated in several community organizations including the NAACP (Secretary), Eastern Star, and later started the first Turtle Pond in Columbus, GA.
On Sunday, August 25, 2019, Catrina made her transition from her earthly journey to eternal life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a very devoted stepfather, Leonard Owens.
Those that remain are her husband, Kelvin Drake, daughter, Sha'Keyla Grant (Marrikues), two grandchildren, Zariya' and Mar'Quon Grant, seven siblings, Arlene Griffin, Jacqualine Griffin, John Griffin, Jr., Faith Griffin, Keith Griffin, Cedric Griffin (Shareta), Angela Kelley, a special devoted friend, Kim Hayes (daughter's godmother) and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and caring friends.
