Chanceler "Chance" Kenneth Parker, 24, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, May 14, 2016.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. John Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Chance was born October 7, 1991 in Columbus, GA son of Edwin Parker and his wife, Dee and the late Amanda Jones Jensen. He attended Georgia Military College and worked at Ft. Benning. He loved music, playing the guitar, reading and history.
Other than his parents, he is survived by his half-brother, Matt Parker of Columbus, GA, step-brothers, Wesley and Kyle Temples of Columbus, GA, half-sister, Kristen O'Kelley (Jason) of Smiths, AL, maternal grandmother, Faye McNeal (Ray) of Columbus, GA, and paternal grandmother, Leatha Parker of Sandersville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to House of Mercy 1532 3rd Avenue Columbus, GA 31901 and/or Valley Rescue Mission 2903 2nd Avenue Columbus, GA 31904.
