Charles D. "Buddy" Patterson, 80, of Renfroe, GA died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 104 Mt. Olive St. Cusseta, GA 31805 with Rev. Mark Hudson officiating. Interment will be held at Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Patterson was born January 20, 1937 in Richland, GA son of the late Stonewall Jackson Patterson II and Martha King Patterson. He spent two years serving his country in the United States Army. Upon completion of his military service, he worked as an Engineer for the Department of Transportation for the State of Georgia and was a member of First Baptist Church in Cusseta, GA. Mr. Patterson was everyone's Buddy.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Patterson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Grace Hubbard Patterson of Renfroe, GA, children, Kelli Patterson Icard (Ron) of Woodstock, GA, Charles David Patterson, Jr. (Susan) of Hamilton, GA and Daniel Brewer Patterson (Tiffany) of Renfroe, GA, grandchildren, Austin Icard, Logan Icard both of Woodstock, GA, Lindsey Patterson and Megan Patterson both of Hamilton, GA, and sister, Dallas Jankowski (Dave) of Renfroe, GA.
