Charles Yates

Charles David Yates, 75 of Fortson, GA passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. 

David was born June 5, 1950 in Columbus, GA to the late Douglas Byron Yates and Mary Gwendolyn Harden. After graduating from Jordan High School in the Class of 1968, he became the owner and operator of Yates Trucking Company for over 50 years where he had many clients and co-workers who became life-long friends.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jennifer Milam Yates of Fortson, GA, sisters: Debra Faulk (John) of Phenix City, AL and Wendy Stalter of Peoria, IL, beloved stepdaughter: Stacy Milam and stepson: Chris Milam (Aron), grandchildren: Taylor Milam, Colton Milam and Raylon Milam. Survivors also include his nephew, Jack Stalter.
