Christine M. Davis Profile Photo
Christine McClellan Davis has passed after her hard-fought battle against cancer. September 11th is a day etched in American History and a day that the caring, kind, brave, are remembered forever and will now hold for us special memories of Chrissy. Her kindness, gentleness, and most of all the love she shared with so many, gives each of us a reason to reflect and remember her in a personal way as unique as Christine was herself.
Christine was born, July 22nd, 1960 the youngest of 3 children, to Walter McClellan, Sr. and Dorothy Soto in Columbus, Georgia where she lived throughout her life. As a child she was a bright-eyed, curly haired little girl, who loved her Barbies, learned to sew, and always had a smile for everyone.
In 1987, Christine married the love of her life, John Franklin Davis, Jr., creating a life filled with her Southern style making their house a home, special meals, respect, love and a welcoming atmosphere to all.
Her family and close friends were her life, but she also enjoyed cooking. Her passion for food led to many beautiful meals, especially during the holidays where she shared her love for us and passion for cooking adding a "few pounds" of love and laughter to each of us.
She made friends and became a beautiful young woman with a love for children, turning this passion into a life-long endeavor. She was a caregiver for an innumerable list of babies over the years and many have remembered her fondly with Birthday gifts, Christmas visits and Wedding invitations. She has influenced many lives in the way only a mother, a favorite Aunt, a dear friend or Grandmother might have done.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John Franklin Davis, Jr.; her mother, Dorothy J. Soto of Leesville, LA; a sister, Alice M. McClellan of Columbus; a brother, Walter (Wanda) McClellan, Jr. of New Port Richey, FL; Aunt Dori Lapp; Nephews: Walter Alan McClellan, Henry Brett McClellan, and Sam Wise; Nieces: Amber McClellan-Massengill and Anne Wise; Great-nieces and nephews; Walter Alan McClellan, Jr., Andrew Elliott Massengill, Maeson William Wise, and Eila Reign Massengill.
The family and her life-long friends, Tina Sampson, W.C. Ellis, Jr., and his wife Kathy are left to mourn her passing and cherish the memories that she helped create.
