Christopher "Big Chris" Allen Johns

Christopher “Big Chris” Allen Johns, 52, of Columbus, GA passed on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.

Chris was born February 21, 1968 in Houston, TX to Richard Lamar Johns and Beverly Jean Huckabee. He was self-employed as a construction contractor and served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He served in the Philippines and Grenada from 1986 to 1990. Big Chris worked hard for his family, was a Catholic by faith, and mentored to many. He claimed to be, “a jack of all trades, but a master of none.” Chris loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Darla Kay Johns of Columbus, GA, children, Christopher Allen Johns II (Brittany) of Hot Springs Village, AR, Michael Patrick Johns of Benton,

AR, Shelbie Lea Hill (Derek) of Prairie Grove, AR, sister, Susan Kessner (Roger) of Cleveland, TX, father, Richard Lamar Johns of Cleveland, TX, mother, Beverly Jean

Huckabee of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Rylea Makynzie Hill, Paizlea Kay Johns, Ryder Allen Hill, Caydence Janice Johns, and Ryan Scott Hill.

This world will be a lesser place without Chris’ presence and he will be forever missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing such a giant of a man! Hoo-tee-hoooo!!!
