Clarence Allen Elliott

On August 29, 2020, Clarence Allen Elliott of Pine Lake in Harris County, joined his beloved wife, Julia Rae and their daughter Joy in heaven. Clarence was 90 years old.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Billy Ledbetter officiating . The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, those attending the funeral service will be required to wear a face mask and social distancing will be in effect.

He was born to Mary Josephine and William A Elliott on October 2, 1929. He grew up in Kernersville, NC where he later met Julia. They were married in 1951. They were married almost 69 years prior to her passing last October. Clarence loved to work in the yard, plant flowers and grow a vegetable garden. His last year with us was spent at Brookdale memory care where he made new friends, walked laps in the building and give the staff a run for their money. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with all the grandchildren and great grand kids.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife Julia in October of 2019, and their daughter Joy, in March of 1994.

He is survived by all the grandchildren, Brandi Sparks (Brad) of Ladonia, Alabama, and Misty Floyd (Tim) of Cusseta, GA and Katrina Rollins (Aaron) of Ellerslie. He was also survived by all the great grand boys.

Following the services a meal will be provided for immediate family and friends at the Woodmen of the World, 3754 US-80, Phenix City, AL 36870.
