Cora Christine Madden Wine, 102, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Spring Harbor.

Cora was born on May 27, 1923, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Alma Sigmon Madden and Thomas J. Madden. A graduate of Shawnee High School, she attended Oklahoma Baptist University and later served her country honorably in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II. While employed at Camp Carson in Colorado, she met and married Captain John B. Wine on January 22, 1946. Together they raised two daughters and shared a devoted partnership built on love, faith, and service. Christine was a woman of grace, strength, and generosity. A longtime member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church, she was also active in the Pine Tree Garden Club, the Columbus Museum Guild, and the Columbus Women’s Symphony Association. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Christine Burke (Patrick) and Martha Christie (David); her granddaughter, Christina Christie; her devoted companion of seven years, Verlinda Hill; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
