Craig D Stephens, II, 56, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital.
Craig was born July 26, 1969, in Passaic, NJ to Dorothy Mohr Stephens and the late Craig David Stephens, Sr. Throughout his life, he cherished the bonds he shared with his family, holding dear the role of being a caregiver to his mother. His dedication and love for her stand as a testament to his character and tenderness.
Craig made his home in Columbus, Georgia, where he generously devoted his skills and heart to the Paws Humane Society, working as a Veterinarian Technician. His deep affection for animals was evident in both his profession and personal passions. Beyond his commitment to animal care, Craig also found solace and joy in the meticulous art of cross stitching, a hobby that reflected his patience and creativity.
Other than his mother Craig’s is survived by his brother, Matthew Stephens (Kelly) of Columbus, GA, nephews, Alexander, Lucas, Elijah and Bailey whom he loved dearly and treasured, aunt, Juliet Miller (John) of Huntsville, AL, and numerous other family members. The loss felt by his loved ones is profound, marking the passing of a gentle soul whose compassion and kindness left an indelible mark.
Craig D Stephens, II will be remembered with great respect and admiration by those who knew him, honoring his memory as a compassionate caregiver, a dedicated professional, and a loving family member.
