He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and went on to build a distinguished 26-year career as a proud combat engineer. His service included one tour in Vietnam, one tour in Korea, and three tours in Germany, with most of his stateside duty spent at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.

Following his retirement, Danny continued to live a life centered on service and family. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and fellowveterans. He especially loved the simple moments, whether working in the yard, spending time outdoors, or sitting with family and friends. Above all, he cherished his role as husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and he will forever be remembered for his humor, guidance, strength and unconditional love.

Danny’s legacy is one of courage, integrity, and devotion—values he instilled in those around him both in and out of uniform. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
