Darwin Eugene Richmond, 90, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026. Born in Pennsylvania on December 5, 1935, he lived a life centered on family, simple pleasures, and unwavering curiosity.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarah Richmond. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Gamache and Tina Butler (Roy); his grandchildren, Jason Gamache (Alayne), Brandi Morris (Trevor), and Lauren Davenport (Matt); and his great-grandson, Hudson Morris.

Darwin will be remembered for his love of Waffle House breakfasts, his collection of Western books, his lifelong interest in automobiles and automotive trends, and, most of all, the love he had for his family. He leaves behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 8, from 10:00-11:30AM at the Rialto (1231 Broadway, Columbus, GA 31901). Friends and extended family are invited to stop by to share memories, celebrate Pap's life, and visit with the family during this time.
