David W. Blackwell, born on April 25, 1962, in Columbus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at Bethany Hospice. He lived a life marked by passion, dedication, and deep commitment to family and community.

David was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time fishing, embracing the tranquility that the water provided, and enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie of dirt track racing. Born into the loving family of James (Jimmy) Blackwell and Jackie Blackwell, David experienced profound loss with the passing of his parents as well as his brother, James (Jimbo) Blackwell. Despite these heartaches, he remained deeply connected to those closest to him.
