David Bennett Jenkins, 66, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
Mr. Jenkins was born May 10, 1951 in Columbus, GA son of Margaret King Jenkins of Columbus, GA and the late B.F. Jenkins. He worked with TIYA Support Services at Ft. Benning but was a "jack-of-all-trades". He had a great sense of humor and loved gardening, the beach, and enjoyed shag dancing with friends.
Survivors other than his mother include his wife, Kay Jenkins, daughter, Jessica Jenkins, brothers, Steve Jenkins (Elaine) and John Jenkins (Jeannie) all of Columbus, GA, and his sister-in-law, Linda Paul (Chris) of Savannah, GA, and other extended loving family members.
