David Patrick Weeks, 87 of Columbus died Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Mark Sasser officiating. A private interment will be held following the services according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mr. Weeks was born February 25, 1930 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late Bennie P. and Annie Maxey Weeks. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company, Liberty Insurance Company and retired from Swift Spinning and Textile Company.
Other than his parents, Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel B. Weeks, sister and brother-in-law, Gaynelle and J.W. Brogdon, and grandson Conner Weeks.
Survivors include his children, Cindy Cameron (Doug), Rickey Weeks (Stacy) all of Phenix City, Al. and Cathy Sharpe (Kevin) of Columbus, Ga., grandchildren, Shaun Cameron (Karen), Railyn Beauchamp (Tommy), Devin Weeks, Brandon Caulder, Brock Garner and Brody Sharpe, six great-grandchildren, nieces and a brother-in-law Travis G. Bailey.
