Debby June Mayo, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on August 21, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Born on June 4, 1969, in Columbus, Debby spent her life spreading joy and warmth to those around her, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.

With over 20 years dedicated to both Columbus State University and the Columbus Police Department, Debby's professional life reflected her commitment to service and community. She was a shining example of hard work and perseverance, admired by colleagues and friends alike.

Known as the Life of the Party, Debby's vibrant personality brought laughter and love into every gathering. Her devotion to her family and friends knew no bounds; she was everyone’s favorite sister, aunt, and confidante. Whether it was planning elaborate celebrations or simply enjoying a meal together, Debby's enthusiasm for life and her ability to create unforgettable memories made her an irreplaceable presence in the lives of many.

Outside of her career, Debby indulged in her passions for traveling, photography, and reality TV. An extraordinary party planner, she had the unique talent of transforming any occasion into a joyous celebration. Her culinary skills shone through her love for baking and dining out, creating experiences that brought loved ones together.

Debby is survived by her devoted siblings: brother Frankie (Gabi) Mayo, and sisters Andora Duarte (Jaime), Cyndi Hardy (Richard), and Janice Stover (Bob). She also leaves behind a cherished group of nieces and nephews, including Bryanna Duarte, Esabella Duarte, Christian Mayo (Kelsey), Jessica Huckelba, Courtney Hendricks, Amy Bruce, Jason Richardson, Brad Dykes (Melissa), and April Hiscox (Aaron), Jenna Bryant (Daniel), Hunter Hardy (Chelsea), Allison Sears (Dalton), Sean Harris. Her lifelong friends and chosen family, Evelyn Britt (Jeff), Tee Cee Miller (Lem), Fancy Cimmerer (Danny), Donna Sanders and son Brandon, Madison Benedetti (Logan), and Autumn Lewis, as well as numerous other family and dear friends, that will always hold her memory close.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Arsenia Rivers; father Wilbur Frank Mayo; step-mother Janice Mayo; and nephew, Tommy Richardson.

A Memorial Service honoring Debby’s life and joyful spirit will be held on August 31, 2025, at 2pm at theway church, located at 1593 Lee Road 242, Smiths Station, AL. In celebration of Debby's fun nature, the family invites all attendees to wear purple or leopard print attire, embracing her vibrant spirit as they gather to remember a remarkable woman who lived life fully and loved deeply.

Debby June Mayo’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
