Denzil Solomon Jennings, Jr., 76, of Hamilton, GA died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Jennings was born September 22, 1940 in Ponca City, OK son of the late Denzil Solomon Jennings, Sr. and Lucille Johnson Jennings. He retired from the U.S. Air Force having served for 22 ½ years as a Tech Sergeant. He later was a school bus driver in Harris County for 7 ½ years.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Napier Jennings of Hamilton, GA and children, Theodore Stone of Dallas, TX, Mellondy Jennings of Dallas, TX, Denzil Jennings, III (Jessica) of Norfolk, VA and Matthew Jennings of Rome, GA.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
