Diane Huckelba, a beloved housewife and homemaker, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 70. Born on June 11, 1954, in Fort Benning, Diane was known for her kindhearted nature and her ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. An internment will following at Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Diane’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family as she possessed a green thumb that allowed her to make any flower or plant flourish. Her home was often filled with vibrant blooms, reflecting her natural gift for gardening.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Chandler; her sisters, Debra, Denise, Tammy, and Teresa; her children, Donna, Carol, Buddy, Vernon, and Lil’Ben; and her 14 grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Ben. She will be remembered fondly by those whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
