Don Lamar Davis

Don Lamar Davis, 91, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.
Don was born June 2, 1931 in Elba, AL to the late Aaron A. Davis and Rochelle Davis. He worked at Bill Heard, Norris Body Works and Helms Brothers as a Body Mechanic. He enjoyed reading, listening to old southern gospel songs, and watching old T.V. shows, especially westerns. He loved watching the Braves and watching his grandkids play ball. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tommie Adkins Davis, brothers, Wayne Davis, Waylon Davis, Jere Davis, Jackie Davis, Mike Davis, sisters, Ellen Stewart, and Mary Thorton.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Singletary (Garrie) of Columbus, GA, Rachel Rodgers (Edward) of Pine Mountain, GA, son, Larry Davis (Faye) of Hamilton, GA, brothers, Culon Davis of Birmingham, AL, John Davis (Jane) of Dothan, AL, sister, Peggy Clinansmith (Dave) of Enterprise, AL, grandchildren, Amanda Fisher (Shawn) of Columbus, GA, Jacob Davis (Emily) of Monument, CO, Beth Daniel of Marietta, GA, Adam Singletary (Deana) of Columbus, GA, Jim Rodgers (Bethany) of LaGrange, GA, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Fisher, Addison Davis, Breck Davis, Ella Daniel, Remington Singletary, Jay Rodgers, Janie Rodgers, bonus daughter, Rita Hughes, several sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and other family members.
